I've been in Corvallis, Oregon since '92 as a professor of forestry (wood science and tree physiology). I retired a few years ago although I'm doing related research on tech for making maple syrup from west coast maples. I write fiction and essays, and do a little K-12 substitute teaching. I often get to sub for my son, who teaches hig school math in town. My husband and I spend a third of our time at a very quiet offgrid cabin in the forest an hour from home. I also sub for the school district out there, which is fascinating. I'm finally able to get back to a lot of things I always loved doing (with the limitations of being older and having an even older husband). My daughter's having our first grandkid in January. Yay for all this stuff. I've lived in a very privileged time. I didn't used to know that! I'm trying to give some back.

Howzit? Hope everyone has a great time at the reunion! I’ve been living on the Kona coast of the Big Island over four decades now. Came to visit after UCD and decided to stay. My college friends thought I was crazy but now believe I was the smart one since they’re all bailing on California. But what a great place to grow up! Funny story, I posted a pic of our home being built in 1961 on google earth some years back and the owner saw it and emailed me. Turned out he’d gone to Egan and LAHS and UCD, and his parents owned two condos here. We became friends as they visit at least yearly, and I’ve seen their two sons graduate from LAHS and head for college (they were in my boy scout troop as well) Synchronicity was off the chart on that one! Been married 36 years to a very smart lady who is a top broker with Compass and we’re hoping our grandson heads back to Hawaii after he graduates from UOP. I’ve had a somewhat eccentric career path, starting a real estate company and then selling it when we had 30 agents and becoming a boat captain driving a 399 passenger glass bottom boat to Kealakekua Bay five days a week. Sadly they went out of business and I had to get a real job, so I worked for Hilton for 15 years as a network admin until they were bought by a vulture capital firm and IT was outsourced. Still doing some consulting and enjoying the Kona sunsets with our two goldendoodles, and feel very lucky to be here, especially after seeing the memorial page here. Mahalo!

I'm looking forward to the 50th reunion in 2 weeks! I've moved to Hudson, Wisconsin to be closer to my wife of 29 years' family. I'm still working, at a great company that makes communication apps for iPhones and Androids, keeping back end systems running. Please Sent This Person a Message to me if you'd like to say hello. 1 wife, 4 cats, no kids.

Hi, I have been married for 30 years to Walter, a neuroradiologist who I met on a blind date in Oklahoma City. We live on Amelia Island in Florida. I retired in 1995 from IBM and he in 2005 from his practice in OKC. We are enjoying life on the beach with our 2 cats. I volunteer for various animal related causes including the Right Whale and Cats Angels. Walter loves stand up paddle board surfing. I would love to hear from you.

After high school I worked as a sheetmetal mechanic for 11 years, went to college and worked as a lecturer at UC Santa Cruz for a really long time teaching a variety of biology courses. I recently retired and am enjoying playing my saxophone and clarinet in several local bands. I've been married for 24 years and we live in Hollister. We have no kids but I do have a horse! I'm looking forward to seeing you all.

50 years! I spent most of my post college days as a physical therapy clinician in California and Arizona. Did some years on faculty at a community college in Phoenix then CEO of rehabilitation hospitals and critical care hospitals. Did some traveling to open a few post acute hospitals while living and working in the San Antonio area of Texas - then back to Tucson Arizona in 2018 as CEO of a post acute critical care hospital n Tucson - just in time for the pandemic! Stepped away from working this past December and who knows what may be next? I've been married for47 years, have two sons who are also in Arizona, one an attorney and the other a musician and bartender. My husband is retired. We love to hike, golf, camp and enjoy the lovely sonoran desert and the community we live in. Looking forward to reconnecting with the past - Los Altos was such a great place to grow up.

After high school, I joined an ashram and then I went out and became a skirt chasing alcoholic while creating a graphic design career. I cleaned up my act and had a wonderful decade of the 1990s got married had a son, developed my design career, got divorced and I am now semi retired With a 24-year-old son, and an emerging late in life career as a fine artist. I am healthy, painfully, single, and very much involved in men's circles, rights of passage, support for teenagers and my oil painting.

Well tried out for the Olympics in "76. Then enlisted in the US Marines (10 years), worked at Lockheed Missile and Space Company until the layoffs in 93, almost homeless in 94. Then became Dept of Defense Federal Cop at the Onizuka Air Station. I then transferred to the Dept. of Energy's elite SRT team, made the papers in July 2005(my team was selected to Protect the Homeland Secretary on his visit to Livermore Lab.) Early retirement cash buyout then joined the County of Santa Clara in 2006, Protective Service Officer, Health and Safety Dept. retiring on Dec. 29th, 2023. Along the way I met 2 Presidents, Carter, Reagan, a Secretary of State, Shultz, 3 Ambassadors, 2 heads of Dept of Energy. My Greatest Honor was meeting the Princess of Wales Diana at an Ambassador's reception in Canada in 1983. There might be more but am kind of old now the memory a bit faded. Oh, am on my last Cat life number 13, not a good number to have. Elvin Morales class of 1974

Living in Oregon near Eugene.  Retired at the start of 2023.  Somewhat delayed due to a forest fire, with our home in the middle.  Glad to move beyond that and enjoying life again.  Playing tennis (still), rafting on the McKenzie River, snow shoeing in the nearby mountains, visiting with our local friends, visiting our 2 children in TX and GA, hanging out with my husband of 36 years, reading and walking.  I haven't made it to many reunions but who knows, maybe I'll make the trip south in 2024!

Hi all, We stayed in Santa Clara County (Saratoga and Los Gatos) until 6 years ago when we made the leap to San Diego County (Carlsbad) to be closer to our two daughters. Dave and I have been married for 49 years and our daughters are 43 and 40. We have 3 grandchildren ages 5 and under so we keep ourselves pretty busy with them. I started a consulting company 16 years ago so I still work for several small medical device and pharma companies. I have no idea when I'll retire.  I enjoy hiking, golfing, yoga and pickleball weekly when not working. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in a year.

Hi All, Life is good!  I'm blessed to be retired for the past 7 years in relatively good health.  I've been married for 16 years with one 39 year-old daughter, 6 adult step children, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 3 cats.  We enjoy the tranquility of living in Amador County on 5 acres.  We enjoy doing volunteer work through our church, gardening, cooking, baking, and soap making.  My 96 year old father has moved to Ohio to live with my sister and is selling his home in Mountain View he has owned since 1954.  49 years since graduation sounds like such a long time.  Career and family have made those years fly by.  How wonderful to celebrate our 50 year reunion next year.  Thank you to all who are the organizers.  Good job!

It will be wonderful to see all my survivor schoolmates.  I have stayed mostly in the Bay Area all these years, with a 5 year stint up as a country retreat owner in Nevada City until last year.  Was married at one point, and have a son who is an amazing musical talent, age 24.  I didn't go into theatre, but did have a creative career as a designer / creative director...  and more recently as a semi-retired oil painter who is still planning his first show.  grbrowncreative.com

After 30 years in Eastern Washington as a mechanical engineer designing cellular phone test equipment and ruggedized computers, I have moved to Florida when they closed down our site.  Mountain biking, river kayaking, back country skiing and rock climbing have all been put on temporary hold.  I'm doing a lot more road biking.  Its way too flat!  Happily married with two girls in college.  Won't be able to make it this year.  I'm still in contact with Brad Bishop who was my roomate at UCSB.

Hello Friends,
It has been so many years, and memories of past are sometimes forgotten, but I do remember how much fun it was hanging out in the Quad, or on the football field at lunchtime, and what a Great Spirit our school had, I'm proud to be a Graduate of Los Altos High, Class of 74, sorry I can't make it, I sure miss those days,,,,,,

So sorry to have missed the big event. Looks like it was a fun time from the photos and really missed seeing people when I read through who attended. I'm enjoying some new Facebook connections. So neat to be connected by our history and our parallel lives due to our age. I just said goodbye this morning to my last girl off to college. Hubby and I are now on our own - bring on a nice glass of Porter, the backgammon board, and a beautiful Oregon evening on our back patio. Life is good - and hail, hail LAHS!

Hi Everyone, I am so sorry I had to miss this!  My parents and sisters still live in Bay Area, and my bday is August 20th, so I'd planned to come, but had to care for beloved, ailing, elderly dog.  I'm amazed that so many people attended, and I certainly do plan to be there for our 40th!!  (OY)

Doing fine so far. Still have my support job, knock on wood and engaged. Glad to be close enough to be coming to the reunion! Wow 40 years?!, It's like my job, they are saying I am too old, over 55! and I say I am not. But my one boss retired and he was only 54! Too young! But my new boss is eh hem, 21 years my junior? Are we getting old? However, it is said we are only as old as we feel, agree! Happy Anniversary Los Altos High 74 class! See if we can make it to 50 years! Regards! Jeanette Hancock

45 years later... Wow. Retired the first week in April after 35 years at Foothill College in time for the SF Giants Opening Day and have been loving every single day of retirement. Still in Los Altos and raised two boys that graduated from Los Altos High. Still smiling from our reunion and feel so lucky that we have such amazing alumni.

I'm happily still working in show business, as is my life partner of 45 yrs (and our Director!) Michael Terrance Hines. I'm maybe 2 yrs from retirement with 4 decades experience as a Film and Television makeup artist. I'm still a collector/curator of antique treasures and an historic architectural preservationist advocate...especially for my own 1927 home and neighborhood in L.A. Terrance is currently representing actors, directors, producers and writers and keeping his hand in developement as well. He still enjoys encouraging/coaching talented artists at his own company, Hines and Hunt Entertainment, and writing when he can. We both love to entertain whenever possible and throw theme parties for our circle of friends in the business. Looking forward!
